Mayor’s corner by Greg “Porp” Rogers:
Thank you to the American Legion for putting on a great Memorial Day parade and honors ceremony. THANK YOU for the dedication of all Veterans and the sacrifice they made for each of us to enjoy the freedom we get every day, again thank you to all that have served. On a side note, it would be nice to have the schools and colleges put in mandatory Patriotism classes. We are all truly blessed to be Americans.
Congratulations to Jackie Whiting and Denise Duthie on being re-elected to the school board, your years of dedication are much appreciated.
Little League season is in full swing and there are no home runs yet, the Mayor is still giving a milkshake to any player hitting it out of the park, so let’s start swinging for the fences.
I’m putting out another reminder, when you hire someone to take down a tree, it is their responsibility to take it away. This has become a big problem. We will still pick up small bundles of twigs and branches as a service to the taxpayer.
