Mayor's corner

2/19/2026

Mayor’s corner by Greg “Porp” Rogers:

The Village Board officially adopted the 2026 comprehensive plan at the meeting on Feb.18th at 7 pm at the Village Hall.

Officer Terrez Smith has left us to accept a position at the Monroe County Sherriff’s department.  The board gives Terrez its thanks for his hard work and sends our best wishes; he will be sadly missed.

Wednesday night marked the last meeting for Trustee Rich Tetrault who served on the board for eight years.  Rich’s dedication and knowledge will be greatly missed, good luck in a well-deserved retirement.

The board will begin its budgeting for the upcoming fiscal year.  Many of the challenges we face are the rising cost of health insurance, wages, and utilities.  We have no large purchases on our horizon.  There will be a Village election on March 18 at the Village Hall, 3 West Main Street.  The only two on the ballot are Bill Kettle and Dan Vanderhoff.
