Mayor's Corner by Greg "Porp" Rogers

Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in getting the SWIM NY grant, and have plans to try again next year for grant, in hopes to get much pool infrastructure done and change to a salt water pool.

Congratulations to John E. Johnson for being named the 55th LeRoyan of the year by the Botts Fiorito post 576.

Halloween will be observed on the traditional October 31st . Trick or treaters can start at 5:30. The Business Council will be holding their annual parade that night too, starting at behind Tompkins Bank of Castile at 5:30 to the Fire Hall for cider and doughnuts.

The on street parking ban that usually goes into effect on November 1st each year has been pushed back to November 15th. We are considering a common-sense approach for the last 2 months of the year, so let board member know your thoughts.

The next Comprehensive plan meeting will be in November 12th at 6:30 at the Village Hall at 6:30. Save the Date for a public meeting at the Trigon Park auditorium on January 13th starting at 6:30. We have new outside leadership which should help this project move faster and smoother. We are looking for as much input as we can get, so come make your ideas heard.

We have completed the building of our vehicle mechanical building. This was constructed by our own people, Bob Lathan Jr., Mike Rogers and Rob Semmel by erecting this ourselves we save roughly $150k and gives us the ability to do all kinds of repairs that would cost the village many thousands more to send out and have done.
